SVG Animation

I'm trying to animate an svg. I have the html to make it work (which worked on another project) but when I put it into a pluggable widget, the svg isn't visible on the screen (html and styles are on the page; the fill and animation just don't seem to work). Any ideas why this would happen? Is there a better way to animate a svg in Mendix?

I played around with adding animated svg's, sozi-presentations, in Mendix, but failed to get it running too. Maybe you can replace the svg with css or js content and make that animate using one of these two widgets from the appstore:
