(Phone web) Date not formatted as expected

A date field is formatted different from what I expected. And the way it is formatted, differs per device/platform. Here is what I did in the modeler.   And this is what the field looks like on a phone and on my laptop.     Anybody an idea why this is? Am I doing something wrong?

Funny. So the first one is US notation and the second is EU notation. Could it be your device settings that causes the difference?

Does not seem intentional to me. Should show the date in the custom format that you told it to.

So two tests:

  1. What if you set it to Date. Do phone and laptop show the same format?
  2. What about the placeholder. As test: add a date there, just to check if this also gets disregarded or not.
