Mendix version upgrade from 7.23.8 to latest standard version of 9.6

I am not sure that it is directly possible to upgrade from 7.23.8  to 9.6  or shall I upgrade to any standard 8.* version and then to 9.6. Any thoughts on how to upgrade ?

Hi Mohammed,

 

It’s impossible to directly upgrade from 7 to 9. You’ll have to migrate to a mendix 8 version first. 

Although the release dates offer some insight in which version upgrades are compatible, it’s a bit trail and error. If you upgrade and it’s not possible, Mendix will suggest upgrading to version x first.
