External database and dropdown

Can i create a drop down such that it can populate the external MSSQL server database on the fly? If possible, can anyone suggest how to create a microflow for that entity.

If you want to retrieve data from a external MSSQL DB and then populate an entity, take a look at the app "Database Replication" from the app store
