CAD in Mendix

Hello Experts, I am curious to know if there is an option available in Mendix which allows developers to integrate and control CAD models inside the Mendix application. For an instance, if one creates a CAD model in NX Siemens, is there a way out that he controls/views the model in a Mendix application? BR, Asmar

Hi Asmar – there are several activities in parallel however nothing has been listed yet in the App Store.

I suggest contacting omkar.shembekar@siemens.com maybe he has a hint.

Boris is probably refering to Siemens’ “Visualization Widget” as described in https://forum.mendix.com/link/questions/96009. The app not in the appstore yet indeed. It is, however, only showing the images, and not able to edit them.

We have created a mendix specific API in NX. Depending on what is available in the API layer could support your use case.
