Play around with community edition

Let's say I wanna play around with the community edition as an existing mendix developer. Do I need to sign up with a different account @ http://www.mendix.com/try-now/ or can I use my existing MXID and make my teamserver project sandbox deployable. Or simply said: I want to run my demo app into a sandbox. Do I need to activate or do something in the modeler?

I had this question too, so I just installed Mendix 5.3 and logged in with my existing account (I login as a partner, not a customer) and downloaded Employee Directory from the appstore into a new repository. Deploy to Sandbox menu pick is in the modeler, but disabled. The MX website says that community edition is coming April 10th - maybe Deploy to Sandbox will be available on April 10.
