In Mx5, some widget themes seem to be overriding my main theme, for example the Rich Text Editor widget. Here is the button styling in my theme: After loading a page containing the Rich Text Editor, this is what happens: This seems to be caused by the following section in the richtexteditor.css: I can edit this css file and use a customized version of the widget to avoid this, but I don't want to have to create and maintain customized versions of standard widgets. Is there any way to avoid css from widgets overriding my main theme?

Agreed. I have had to change the Rich Text Editor for this reason as well. It has been like this for a while now (pretty much for as long as Mendix 5 is out) and I feel like it should have been updated in the app store long ago, but in general a widget should just never override application wide styling...
