Is it advisable to shorten the timeout for blocked users by setting the delay from 5min to 5 seconds? Apart form security reasons, but only for technical reasons. Any risks on overloading the serverprocesses by running this cleanup-proces too fast after the other? ClusterManagerActionInterval The interval (in milliseconds) used for performing all cluster manager actions. These actions include, unblocking users, and removing invalid sessions. If nothing is specified the interval is half the SessionTimeout. Default: 300000
From a technical perspective it should not matter. I can not imagine it has to unblock hundreds of users at the time. But from a security perspective (with my CISO hat on) I would not advise you to do so.
