Google Maps widget xpath constraint [id = [%CurrentObject%]]
I'm new to Mendix and I'm using the Google Maps Widget. When I use the Location_NewEdit page all works fine. When I change the address the widget shows the new adress on the map. I've build the same solution in my own page. When I change the address the widget stays the same. When I save my Entity and go back to the same item with edit it shows the rigth map. It seems like I don't have a currentobject when I start with new. What can I do about that?
XPath uses database retrieves/constraints AFAIK, so it might be causing issues since your 'new' object isn't committed to the database yet?
Thanx Paul for your answer.
It seems like the Google Maps sample snippets and microflows don't commit either and that seems to work just fine. Could it be something else or do I really first have to commit?
In lots of situations I can imagine you don't want to commit, so I hope there is another solution.
