When using “Generate overview pages” for an entity the original DataGrid is beeing used.
DataGrid2 (see doc) supports much more features and is a good choice to go for having a better user experience.
Unfortunately it´s a lot of effort to change from DataGrid to DataGrid2, because all columns need to be added manually. For further details take a look at this discussion.
It´s not possible to distingish which DataGrid should be used, when generating overview pages.
Please add an option to do so, so that using DataGrid2 will get much easier and wider spread within the community.
Great idea Philipp, for Accessibility reasons we are standardizing on Datagrid 2 but have to do all the manual work to substitute the unwanted Datagrid. This would be a great time saver.
